The OFFICE OF TESTING, EVALUATION AND CERTIFICATIONS, OTEC, is a nationally recognized hub for academic, professional, and industry-standard testing. We serve students, professionals, and community members by offering a wide range of examination and certification services to support educational advancement, career development, and global credentialing.
Our Services Include:
✅ Official College Board SAT Testing Center
✅ Approved City & Guilds Center
✅ Certified Pearson VUE Testing Site for international exams, certifications and licensure.
✅ Registered SSI Dive Certification Center for marine science and diving professionals
✅ Placement Testing for new BAMSI students
✅ Coordination of College Examinations (midterms, finals, make-up tests)
✅ Professional Certifications tied to BAMSI’s academic programs and vocational training (National Certification in Flats Fishing, Veteran Guide Certification, Nature Tour Guide-Marine and Terresterial)
Students with disabilities and/or special needs should register with the Counselling Department, Office of Student Affairs, after admissions. Students requiring assistance during exams should contact OTEC after the exam schedule is posted. We will work with Student Affairs to accommodate your needs.
